Illest of ILl

Postby Tamte on Wed Aug 26, 2009 4:12 pm

The guys doing the "illest" show contacted me asking if I would do a piece for the book that goes along with the show. I was honored, and hit the ground running. I got this far, and was hoping for some outside perspective critique. Any input from you guys would be awesome!

I think it looks wicked cool, finish it up. maybe a bit more work on the back dudes but not too much. Maybe just a quick darkening of the edges, like left of the foreground characters, use the tree by the truck as a framing device a bit more. pretty cool though, how big did you paint it?

Yeah I'm liking this a lot, cool color choices. Something that's bugging me a lil is the lumpy river, some of the riverbanks look more like they're going over a hill, if that makes sense. Coool

I've been staring at it a bunch and I guess I have to ditto what Drew said, in an equally vague fashion. Like the river needs to feel more like its sitting down and level in perspective...

Awesome work though, good luck finishing it up.
